Course Description

In Strength & Flow: Glutes & Hamstrings, we will offer attention to the posterior chain through complementary movements like squats, lunges, bridges, and deadlifts. These muscle groups are integral for protecting the spine from taking on excessive load. They also support and control the movement of the pelvis, torso, and legs. Strong glutes and hamstrings create a stable base for the lumbar spine and prevent overuse injuries that may cause the low back to overcompensate. As always, we will split class into two clearly defined sections: 30 minutes of timed strength sets where you can take your time with no pressure to complete a certain amount of reps, and 30 minutes of yoga to stretch and affect the muscle groups we worked in the strength section. All levels are welcome and beginners are encouraged to join!
