Course Description
In Strength & Flow: Arms & Upper Body, we will engage in complementary movements that work on the muscle groups within the arms, chest, and upper back. These movements, done with dumbbells, are designed to bring more strength to the prime movers while also stabilizing the shoulder joint. Dynamic exercises and functional movement will be employed to promote healthy posture and strengthen muscles that are commonly weak from a sedentary or desk-job lifestyle. As always, we will have clearly defined sections of class; the first thirty minutes are purely strength work separated into timed sets where you go at your own pace, and the last portion of class will be spent on a yoga practice that gives attention to the areas we worked during the strength portion. All levels of practitioners are welcome and beginners are encouraged to join!
